ABOUT the RUSMA

The Retired United States Marshals Association was founded on October 29, 1994. It is comprised of three categories of members.
  • Regular members are those employees of the Service who have retired or have served a minimum of 5 years honorable service.
  • Associate membership is available to those employees who are still active members of the Service.
  • Honorary membership is bestowed upon people who have been nominated by a member and have been approved by the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and the Regional Vice Presidents.

The Association Constitution describes the intent of membership and satisfies the U.S. Internal Revenue regulations required for 501 3C status as a charitable organization.

We members of this association are dedicated to preserving the Constitution of the United States, providing assistance to the United States Marshals Service whenever and wherever it is needed or requested, maintaining communication with the membership at large and fostering a commitment to assisting worthwhile charities throughout the country.

The Association meets once a year at a location condusive to the needs of the membership to conduct association business and to provide recreation for all.
